how radishing
The majority of families don’t “do” radishes but mine historically has and does. At six, I carried the nickname – my first, last and only as far as I know – “Miss Radishes” for the color of my once rosy cheeks and maybe for the fact that I hosted such a garden in the hopes that Peter Rabbit would make an appearance.
My Darling Clementine
Mandarin Orange and Clementine season is upon me and when asked what art inspired me, I naturally chose this mixed media piece by SCAD alumna Beth Loraine Bowman. So reminiscent of my darling clementines (yum!) with its deep texture, full-bodied orange hues, and glossy finish…I can almost smell (and taste) the sweetness now!
