Lotus Leather T-Shirt
When I heard Lotus was our inspiration for the week, I didn’t actually hear Lotus, all I heard was the “pink story” part. Naturally, my brain thought of that pink buttery lambskin hide laying in my studio that had sadly not been made in to anything.
Southernish Sweet Potato Pie
A little less sugar than my Grandmother Lula Mae’s pie, but still packed with the same amount of love…and flavor.
A Bird in the Hair
Chickens, hens, birds, eggs, coops, nests… wha?? I’ll be honest here, I have no clue the process of how eggs are hatched, laid or whatever? Is a hen a male? or female? And isn’t there a rooster somewhere in the process? Yea, I’m going to stick with fashion and lay off logistics this week. My fashion obsession this week is hats.. loving this vintage birdcage veiled hat, especially on my friend Blake here that can easily pull just about anything off.
A Turned Table: Mid-day in the Forrest
Food is our trigger to all design. Its color may inform our fashion, its texture may inform our artwork. Its shape may inform our interiors and its flavor will always inform our table. This week the wild and wily rabbits of a rainy forest inspire our lives.
Pasta! In a Clutch
With pasta being my muse this week, I cant help to be reminded of my very first fashion creation to ever make. I know many of you will recall the classic rigatoni pasta necklaces we all made for our moms in Kindergarden? I can remember my delicately stringing with yarn and constructing each perfectly chosen pasta piece, and so excited to present that delicate little work of art to my Mom!
Rock-N-Roll Mushroom Jewelry
Ok, first of all, I LOVE mushrooms….pretty similar to my salt obsessed self, throw those little guys on or in anything and I’ll eat it. Let’s go ahead and set the record straight here too…I, of course, am only referring to all legal mushrooms in this post.
